One of the feline residents at The Cats Whiskers in Alloa is doing much better and is preparing to be put up for adoption.
As previously reported in The Advertiser, Monty was found malnourished at a farm near Slamannan. He also had issues with his ears and seemed to be deaf.
But now, Monty has had his ears cleaned out by the vet and has even put some weight on! His ears do have cysts in them but Donna Hingley, trustee for The Cats Whiskers, said: “He's doing fantastic."
Monty is now on a course of ear drops which he gets every day. A volunteer does this each day for him.

Donna added: “We’re actually thinking now he is hearing us, but if he is sleeping we have to tap to let him know you're there.”
Nobody has come forward to claim Monty, so he’s now looking for a home to call his own.
Donna commented that she is "chuffed to bits with him, I honestly did not think he would be here”.
