Clackmannanshire Council welcomed 39 participants to its ASN Sportshall Athletics Event held earlier this month at Alloa Academy.
Organised by the Council’s sport and leisure team, the fully inclusive event was featured pupils from Extended Additional Support Needs (EASN) at Alloa Academy and Lornshill Academy.
There were 10 activities from the National Sportshall Athletics Programme with running, jumping and throwing stations. The activities included shuttle runs, chest push, vertical jump, long jump, balance test, javelin, high stepper and target throw.
Each pupil was able to score within each activity, and these scores will be used by Forth Valley Disability Sport in their selection of a regional team which will take part in the SDS National Sportshall Athletics Championships on February 29.
