CLACKS band Vida have announced they will be performing a headline show at the renowned King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut.

The band will be heading to the iconic Glasgow venue on Friday, February 23, for a headline gig, with tickets expected to sell out fast.

Jamie Piggott, band member with Vida, told the Advertiser they are excited to get back on stage and perform.

“We played King Tut’s in 2015 with the first Vida lineup,” Jamie said. “We played from 2015-2020 then rebranded and went quiet after Covid.

“Over the last 18 months, we started going hard at it again. We built our own studio in Alloa which is pretty much our own studio space and recording suite.

“We started making all new music down there and started gigging again. We sold a lot of tickets for our gigs in Falkirk and then DF Concerts offered us a headline at King Tut’s.

“We’re dead chuffed with that because it’s quite the platform to get back to within a short period of time, so to get that kind of support early doors, it’s been great.”

The band all hail from Alloa and have received big support from local businesses, including The Royal Oak pub.

The Royal Oak have announced they will be running a bus service to and from King Tut’s, allowing as many people as possible to head along and support Vida.

If anyone wants to book a seat on the bus, message The Royal Oak on Facebook or pop in and ask.

Vida tickets can be bought from kingtuts.co.uk/artist/vida.
