A Clackmannanshire golf club will be hosting the Scottish Girls' Under 16 Open Championship this summer.
Muckhart Golf Club will be hosting the golfing event from July 8 to July 11 this year.
Joe Watts, Club Operations Manager, at Muckhart Golf Club, said: “Everyone at the club is very excited to be given the opportunity to host a national competition. We have excellent facilities at the club and the condition of the 27-hole golf course has been improving year on year for some time now.

"We have a very strong junior section at the club, so we are delighted to be able to host a junior tournament of this size. We feel like being chosen to host this event is proof of our development as a club and our growing reputation in the area.”
This is the first time that the club has hosted a junior tournament of this magnitude, but it has hosted large numbers of golf societies and corporate golf days.
Joe added: “The Championship is open to female golfers under the age of 16 from all over the world so we expect there to be visitors from far and wide. Friends and families are also more than welcome to watch.
"The Championship itself is 54 holes of stroke play, played over three days and there is also a practice day beforehand. The field has a maximum size of 144 players, so we expect it to be a very busy few days at the club.
“Let’s hope that the weather cooperates with us!”
