HIGH school pupils across the Wee County took part in the annual Clackmannanshire Secondary Schools Badminton Championships.
This year’s competition was held at Alva Academy, making this the seventh consecutive year that they have hosted the tournament.
Organised by the council’s sport and leisure team, 54 pupils from Alloa, Alva and Lornshill Academies took part.
They were entered by their schools and took part in singles, level doubles and mixed doubles competitions over three age groups: U14s, U16s, and U19s.
As well as hosting individual and doubles competitions, the schools also competed for the overall School Shield, where points were awarded to the top four finishers in each of the 15 categories.
Alloa Academy came out on top and retained the School Shield from last year, ahead of Alva in second place and Lornshill in third.
