THE Fishcross animal rescue centre has launched an appeal for people to donate food and other items to ensure the animals in their care have a happy Christmas.
The centre, managed by the Scottish SPCA, has asked the public to help donate tins of Chappie dog food and Whiskas cat food in jelly to help care for their animals over the festive period.
Jennie Macdonald, head of rehabilitation operations at the SSPCA, said: “Our centres are busier than ever this Christmas with many operating close to, or at, capacity.
“The wildlife hospital is also in need of Brambles hedgehog food, squirrel food, wild bird food and Royal Canin puppy milk and Royal Canin mousse.
“You can see what the centre is in most need of by checking the Amazon wishlist here.
“We know times are tough for everyone but we’d be so grateful for anything anyone can spare this Christmas and know our animals will be too.”
Items can also be dropped off in person to the centre reception at Fishcross.
