A Remembrance Day parade will take place in Alloa this Sunday, November 12 – one of many remembrance events taking place around the Wee County this weekend.
The parade, which will conclude with a wreath-laying ceremony at the War Memorial in Bedford Place, will gather at Bank Street at 10.30am, and will form up and be met by John Barrett, of Legion Scotland Clackmannanshire.
The parade will then move off to the War Memorial at 10.45am, led by Alloa Bowmar Pipe Band.
Clackmannan District Brass Band will be positioned at the memorial for the arrival of the parade at 10.50am.
The official party will depart form Alloa Ludgate Church and the Standard Bearers will take up position at the War Memorial for the Lord Lieutenant's Salute at 10.55am.
The officials and wreath bearers will then take up their positions facing the War Memorial, as per instructions from the parade commander, ahead of the Last Post by the bugler from the brass band at 10.59am.
Following on from the parade, Legion Scotland Clackmannanshire will be extending an invite to all participants and veterans to the Station, Primrose Street, Alloa, where refreshments and entertainment will be provided. There will also be a raffle with various prizes donated by members and local business.
