A WEE COUNTY beautician has won Five Star Beauty Salon in central Scotland at an awards show.
Sparkle by Elle scooped up the awards, also winning second best nail tech for the whole of Scotland at the Scottish Beauty Industry Awards.
The business was founded by Elle Adams, who spoke to the Advertiser to share her surprise and delight at being voted among the best in the country.
“I was really gobsmacked to be honest,” she said. “My partner was with me and we weren’t planning on recording it.
“When my name got called out and I had to go on the big stage, it was quite overwhelming and you don’t even get a second to think about it before you’re up in front of everyone.”
Elle attended the awards ceremony at the Marriott Hotel in Glasgow on Sunday, October 15.
This is the second year in a row that Elle has earned the title of second best nail tech in Scotland.
She formed her business during the Covid lockdown and has since expanded it to a salon in her back garden.
Looking ahead to the future, Elle hopes to raise awareness of her premises and be able to offer more to her clients.
She added: “I’m hoping to continue to build my business, get a bit busier and spread recognition and awareness of what I do.
“It’s a bit hard right now for people to notice me when I’m based in the garden instead of a shop front.
"I'm thankful to all my clients and everyone who has supported me on this journey so far."
