A WEE COUNTY author has released his next two books, including a collection of six anthology tales.
Robert Ferguson, from Alloa, has published A Collection of Short Stories, featuring five stories with a distinct Scottish connection.
The sixth short story, titled The Banquet for Antoine Guivarch, is a French supernatural ghost story, which Robert earmarked as his favourite from his collection.
He told the Advertiser: “It’s quite a conglomerate of stories in this collection.
“The stories feature mystery, suspense, even hauntings mixed in amongst the short stories.
“The Banquet for Antoine Guivarch is my favourite – I just love that story, it’s a French ghost story and I just love it.
“I’m not the kind of person to usually go for supernatural stories, I’m usually quite scared of this stuff!”
Alongside the collection of short stories, Robert has also released a novella titled God Bless You, Charlie Budge.
Set in Auchterarder, it examines themes of faith and love through somebody with dementia.
“My wife read this one and she loved it,” Robert explained. “So I decided to put it in there as well.
“This one is about angels, it’s about dementia, it’s about people losing faith. There is a mixture of emotions and feelings in this one.”
The two new books are available now on Amazon worldwide alongside two of Robert’s other releases – I’ve got Jesus in the Back of my Taxi! And Red Lentil Soup.
