A MENSTRIE man wasted police time by claiming he had been shot.
Ewan Neil, 25, of Menstrie Place, then wasted more time by failing to turn up for sentencing at Alloa Sheriff Court last Thursday, July 20.
He had previously admitted that on February 19, at Orkney Court, Alloa, he falsely told police officers that he had been shot and injured, wasting police time and putting members of the public under suspicion.
Neil should have been sentenced last week but failed to turn up for the second time.
As a result, Sheriff Neil Bowie issued a warrant for his arrest.
