THE roof has collapsed at a Wee County home following a devastating fire this morning.
Thankfully, there were no injuries reported after firefighters rushed to the scene at Crofts Road in Tullibody on the morning of Thursday, June 8.
Appliances remained at the scene at the time of writing to dampen down and make the area safe.
Initially, two fire engines were sent to the fire in the Wee County town, but more resources soon had to be brought in to tackle the blaze as the roof was “well alight”.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson told the Advertiser: “We were alerted at 8.38am on Thursday, June 8, to reports of a dwelling fire at Crofts Road, Tullibody.
"Operations Control mobilised two appliances, however, that was soon increased to four appliances and a height appliance as the roof was well alight.
“The dwelling roof has collapsed and two appliances remain on scene as we continue to dampen down.
“There are no reported casualties.”
