ROAD works are set to take place through the night next week, closing a section of road at the A876 Higgins Neuk Roundabout.
The roundabout will be partially closed from 7.30pm until 6am from Tuesday, March 28 to Friday, March 31 to allow for resurfacing works.
On the nights of March 28 to 30, the stretch of road between the Higgins Neuk Roundabout and the Kilbagie Roundabout will be closed in both directions with a diversion in place via A876, A985 and A977.
During the night of March 31, the Higgins Neuk Roundabout to A985 Longannet Roundabout will be closed in both directions, with a diversion also in place. Both diversions will add approximately three minutes and 0.5 miles to affected journeys.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Tommy Deans, south east network manager at BEAR Scotland, said: “The surfacing improvements will address areas of deteriorated carriageway for a 0.6km length of carriageway, creating a smoother and safer journey for motorists.
“Carriageway closures are essential for safety – however we’ve planned the works to take place overnight to minimise any disruption.
“We will do all we can to complete the project as quickly as possible and thank motorists in advance for their patience.”
All works are weather dependant and subject to postponement in the event of adverse conditions.
