THE Wee County this week showed it stands with Ukraine as aid was readied to be sent to the war-torn country.
Clacks Ukraine Support, which has seen a variety of volunteers come together to collect aid, has sent dozens of boxes of winter clothing and more to the city of Kharkiv.
The group teamed up with counterparts in Perth, it is understood, to load a lorry full of boxes, last week having issued an appeal for baby formula – something desperately needed in the second largest city and municipality in Ukraine.
Items had been collected at Marshill in Alloa, as well as in Dollar – initially at The Hive then under 12 Bridge Street where Café Ukraine recently gathered for a second time.
