MEMBERS of Dollar Drama Club are hoping to spread some joy during the dark winter with a brand new production early next month.
Taking place at Burnside Hall in Dollar on Friday and Saturday, December 2 and 3, the production company promise an evening full of fun and laughs.
Titled Planes, Trains and… Submarines?, the show comprises of three short plays performed by members of the drama club.
The comedy skits, called Look Away Now, I’m On A Train and Sub Contract will have a festive spin on them in the run up to Christmas.
Jane McGill, committee member for the drama club, spoke about giving the night a Christmas feel to it.
She said: “Since it’s coming up for Christmas, we decided to make the sketches more Christmassy.
“The longer shows aren’t really festive, they’re still funny, but they don’t have a festive side to them.
“Since Covid, we’ve set up tables where people could come in groups, bring refreshments and enjoy the shows.
“That went down a treat, it was a really nice evening so we decided to do it again.”
Additional sketches will be performed by Damian Sherwood-Johnson, Elaine Stark, Stephen Lambert, and Jane herself.
Dollar Drama Club has also put out a call for people to join them, hoping to put on larger shows if they had more members.
The event is bring your own bottle and glasses and attendees are encouraged to bring their own snacks.

Doors open at 7pm and there will be some tickets available to buy on entry with cash only.
