SERVICES and wreath laying ceremonies are set to go ahead as the Wee County prepares to remember the sacrifices of service personnell.
Remembrance Sunday services will go ahead in towns and villages from Menstrie to Clackmannan on and around Sunday, November 13.
The county's flagship ceremony will go ahead in Alloa with the Legion Scotland Clackmannanshire branch inviting veterans and families to a parade.
Road closures will be in place from 9.45am to 11.45am with the parade forming up from 10.15am – meet at the junction of Bank Street and Union Street at 10am.
The parade will step off at 10.25am from Bank Street to the war memorial at Bedford Place, led by the Alloa Bowmar Pipe Band.
The Lord Lieutenant's salute will take place at 10.30am before a two-minute silence, followed by wreath laying at 11am.
Following the service, veterans are being invited to the Station Bar for food and entertainment.
Elsewhere in the county, Menstrie Community Council will be laying the community's poppy wreath twice with the parish church hosting two ceremonies.
The first will be on Friday, November 11, at 10.45am with the primary school, followed by silence at 11am.
Then on Sunday, a procession will leave from the church at 10.45am – all are welcome to both.
In Alva, a service will take place at the parish church from 10.30am with a procession to the war memorial from 11.30am.
Thereafter people are being invited to the Cochrane Hall for soup, hot drinks and home-baked treats.
Alva Academy is also hosting its own event tonight (Thursday, November 10) from 7pm.
In Tillicoultry, the parade will start at the parish church at 11.50am on Sunday with the ceremony and wreath laying at Tillicoultry Cemetery from 12noon.
It is understood a ceremony will also go ahead in Coalsnaughton from 12noon on the day.
There will be an Act of Remembrance at Dollar Memorial Gardens from 10.45am on Sunday before an 11.15am service at Dollar Parish Church.
In Muckhart, the service will start at 9.30am at the parish church, followed by wreath laying at Muckhart War Memorial at 10.45am.
St Serf's Parish Church in Tullibody will be holding a service at 10.45am in the church, it is understood this is usually followed by a service at Tullibody War Memorial.
In Sauchie, the parish church is hosting a Remembrance Concert on Saturday, doors open from 10.30am for an 11am start, free entry.
Sauchie & Fishcross UF Church will also host a service on Sunday from 10.55am.
In Clackmannan, people will gather at the war memorial to lay wreaths at 10.50am on Sunday, followed by a service at Clackmannan Parish Church from 11.15am.
