FOUR champions have been crowned at Alloa Golf Club at the weekend.
The Schawpark course saw the culmination of a fortnights battle for the various championships on Saturday, June 11.
John Salmond rounded off an excellent fortnight with an impressive win over Jim McMeekin in a final strewn with birdies.
Having taken a six-hole lead after the morning round, John held off a spirited Jim to win his second club championship and was around five under par when the match ended.
In another tight affair, Jennifer Abernethy beat Claire by two holes in the women's championship.
In the second division, David Henderson made a strong start to go four up after seven holes against Andrew Judge, who could not claw it back despite his best efforts.
There was a close contest between Liam Brown and Ella Henderson in the junior section.
It again came down to who had the stronger start and while Ella tried to make it a family double with her dad, she just fell short.
Meanwhile, the past weeks have also seen strong competition at Tulliallan Golf Club, the first round going to Joanna Flockhart, division 2, net 72.
Runner-up was Ann Mawhood, division 1, net 76.
Results from the ladies second round championship saw Gillian Ping as runner up, net 72 and Ann Mawhood as winner.
Gillian was again runner up in the third round, net 75, while Jean Hillis won, net 72.
The President's Plate Greensomes saw Audrey Watson and Christine Drew as runners-up while Ann Mawhood and Maureen McLeod came out as winners.
