AN OUTREACH service for people in the Wee County has been extended to reach more people.
Clackmannanshire Citizens Advice Bureau is working in partnership with Clackmannan Development Trust to extend its popular outreach service into the heart of the town.
Starting on Monday, June 6, local people will be able to drop into the Bruce Lounge on Main Street every Monday between 2pm and 4pm to get one-to-one advice on a range of topics from benefits and housing to money issues and debt.
The bureau has been running outreach sessions in other parts of the Wee County and is delighted to be extending this support.
Jonny Miller, Clackmannanshire Citizens Advice Bureau managing director, said: "The cost of living crisis has seen increasing demand for our services and we are delighted to be working with the Clackmannan Development Trust to take them to the heart of the local community at this critical time.
"Our advice is free, confidential and impartial and can be a great comfort to people facing tough decisions.”
Clackmannan Development Trust is a voluntary organisation set up in 2013 by local residents.
Its aim is to make Clackmannan a better place to live, work and visit.
Fiona Speirs, community development manager at Clackmannan Development Trust, added: “We are delighted to be able to offer this service to the residents in Clackmannan at a time when the cost of living is increasing so rapidly and people have many worries about how they are going to manage their budget.”
