PLAYERS with Dollar Drama Club return to the stage this month with their latest show.
Taking place on Friday, May 13 and Saturday, May 14, they will be performing Hide and Seek, the Sociable Plover and The Book Club of Little Witterington.
The Sociable Plover, by Tim Whitnall, is a black comedy directed by Stephen Lambert, and centres on the meeting between a keen ornithologist and a chance visitor to a bird hide. Damian Sherwood-Johnson plays the ornithologist and David Anderson is the visitor.
Joan Greening’s The Book Club of Little Witterington is a characterful comedy directed by Elaine Stark.
The members of a small village book club are joined by a newcomer to the village, with the newcomer played by Catherine Gibson-Poole.
Club members are played by Sandra Ballantine, Linda Rice, Jane McGill, and Susie Easto on her debut performance with Dollar Drama Club.
Performances will take place in the Burnside Hall which will be laid out in a café style and attendees are invited to bring their own drinks, glasses and any snacks.
The cost of a ticket is £10 and tickets can be purchased by emailing dollardrama@gmail.com, texting or phoning 07795 557544 or on the door.
Performances start at 7.30pm and doors will be open at 7pm to allow for prompt entry.
