A FORMER solider assaulted four people during drunken arguments within the space of a few weeks.
Kenneth Watt, of Carseview, Tullibody, appeared in the dock at Alloa Sheriff Court admitting a string of offences.
On June 6, at his home, he assaulted a woman by pushing her on the body and seizing her by the body.
On July 11, at Newmiils, Tullibody, he assaulted a woman by striking her on the head to her injury.
He also assaulted another woman by pushing her on the body during that incident.
On July 25, at Newmills, Tullibody, he assaulted a man by seizing him by the body, pushing him and causing him to fall to the ground.
The court was told that after family bereavements including the death of his wife, Watt had developed a drinking habit and his home had become a magnet for others who went there to consume alcohol.
After drink had been consumed on these occasions, arguments had started leading to the offences.
Sheriff Neil Bowie said it was sad to see someone like Watt, 62, coming before the courts having "previously led a law-abiding and useful life".
He imposed a community payback order with 12 months of supervision and a 60-day restriction of liberty order.
