STAFF at a Wee County store this week issued a heart-felt thank you to customers after a fundraising drive.
Around £1,200 has been raised for Children in Need at Coalsnaughton's Premier Express in an annual initiative.
Staff and management – including Atif, Karen, Tracy and Bernadette – are thanking customers for their generous donations after they donned spotty clothing and got into the festive spirit with Pudsey Bear last month.
The store has been raising funds for the good cause for around a decade now with staff delighted to have beaten their target once again.
Bernadette told the Advertiser: “It was amazing this year, it was really good of the customers – they really pulled it out the bag for us, we thought we weren't going to get our target but we managed it.”
Issuing a nod of thanks, she added: “It's just really to thank the customers for their great support and helping us.”
Children in Need, the BBC's charity since 1980, raises millions of pounds each year with an annual November appeal.
It works closely with a while range of organisations, supporting charities and projects around the country which directly help children and young people in communities.
It also supports children and young people affected by disadvantages such as poverty, disability, illness, distress or trauma.
While its flagship TV appeals reach many across the nation, fundraisers from all walks of life make an massive contribution.
