A HOTEL in the Wee County has this month scooped two awards for its spa, having expanded facilities despite the uncertainties of the pandemic.
Inglewood House and Spa collected the accolades at The Scottish Beauty Industry Awards 2021 on Sunday, October 10.
The Clacks venue won awards for both Spa Team of the Year and Resident Spa of the Year following what has been an incredibly difficult 18 months for everyone in the beauty industry.
Debbie Duffy, spa manager, paid tribute to clients as she celebrated the award with her team.
She said: "It's been great getting back to doing what we love again and to be recognised for this feels amazing.
"The team are so excited. We have the best clients and can't thank them all enough for their continued support and all the lovely messages of congratulations."
Inglewood owner Ewan Campbell explained how future plans for the spa were brought forward, despite uncertainty over what the future may hold when Covid-19 restrictions hit.
He said: "Although there was some uncertainty, we took the decision to expand the spa with a new reception, spa café, relaxation room and ladies' changing room being formed.
"The spa team also introduced a fantastic selection of new spa days and treatments, with online booking now available."
The hotel boasts a luxurious boutique spa and leisure club including a thermal suite, hot tubs, treatment rooms and a gym fitted with various exercise machines.
The relaxation room servers as a calm sanctuary with soothing sounds and aromas.
Spa treatments and packages include the half-day Rise and Spa treatment, the full Indulgence Day option or the Afternoon Escape.
These include a thermal suite or hot tub experience, ESPA treatments as well as food and drink in the spa café.
Spa facilities are also available for private hire with space for up to 20 guests to celebrate special occasions.
Mr Campbell added: "It has been great to see how well all the changes have been received and to receive these awards is incredible."
More than 40 awards were handed out at the third running of the Scottish Beauty Industry Awards with recognition going to doctors, dentists, aesthetic clinics, hair and beauty teams and spas.
