A VIRTUAL whisky tasting and auction event in memory of a late Clacks man has raised hundreds of pounds for a lung support group.
The event was organised by Lodge Ladywell 1474 Tullibody to honour Walter Livingstone.
The "wonderful" sum of £800 was raised for the award-winning Breathe Easy Clackmannanshire, which supports Wee County people suffering from lung disease.
Issuing a nod of thanks on social media was Linda McLeod BEM, chair of Breathe Easy Clacks.
She said: "These fantastic people raised the wonderful sum of £800.
"On behalf of the trustees, members and volunteers I thank you most sincerely for your generous donation."
A cheque for the £800 was handed over to Linda last week by father and son duo John and Russell Scott from the lodge.
Walter was a member of both organisations and sadly passed away in March 2020 from lung disease
Russell said: "It's an excellent charity and in memory of a great brother in Walter Livingstone.
"Thank you to the all the brethren of lodge 69 Alloa and friends who participated.
"And our host Andy Goodwin for organising it all and his excellent knowledge on whiskey and great banter."
