WEE COUNTY residents are being urged to return any library property before the council ends its amnesty on library fines at the end of this month.
Clacks Council announced they would not penalise those returning overdue loans for a period up until Saturday July 31.
Anyone who has property loaned out during lockdown has been urged to return it to before the end of the amnesty.
Currently, Clacks Council library fines are a maximum of £2.75 per item returned late for all users.
Residents who have borrowed material can hand property into any library during opening hours.
The Speirs Centre, Ben Cleuch Centre, Sauchie, Alva and Tullibody Libraries will all be open as well as all library lending areas.
The move comes as coronavirus restrictions are eased and libraries are able to reopen to public again.
The amnesty began in March 2020 as the UK entered the first coronavirus lockdown.
A council spokesperson said: "We were delighted to re-open all our libraries in line with Scottish Government protection levels. Our staff have been welcoming back visitors to browse and borrow books.
"We have had a fines amnesty in place since March 2020 and this will come to an end on Saturday July 31.
"If you have any queries or you are unable to return your items to a library before Saturday, please contact us on 01259 452262 or email libraries@clacks.gov.uk."
