A MAN was rushed to hospital following a serious assault in Alloa on Friday night.
Police Scotland responded to an “ongoing incident” at the town’s Greenfield Place at around 9pm on Friday night amid reports of a man being stabbed.
When emergency services arrived a 42-year-old man was raced to hospital for his injuries which two further men were arrested in connection with the assault.
The victim has since been released from hospital, while the two arrested, a 42-year-old and 43-year old, have been released pending further enquiries.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to an address on Greenfield Street, Alloa, around 9.05pm on Friday, 29 January, following reports of man being assaulted.
"Emergency services attended, and a 42-year-old man was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment, and later discharged.
"Two men, aged 42 and 43, were arrested and then released, pending further enquiries."
