THERE is just one Wee County areas in the highest coronavirus infection category while two areas have “suppressed” the virus.
The Scottish Government’s neighbourhood map shows which council wards are worst hit by Covid-19 to a weekly average based on a population per 100,000 people.
For the week up to and including January 23, the most recent data available, there is only Clackmannan, Kennet and Forestmill, in Clackmannanshire in the highest category of 400+ cases per 100,000 people, compared to two last week.
However, there are five areas in the second highest category – 200-399 per 100,000 people.
Those are Alloa West, Tullibody North and Glenochil, Fishcross, Devon Village and Coalsnaughton, Alloa South and East, and Tullibody South.
Alloa North, Sauchie, Dollar and Muckhart, and Tillicoultry are in the third highest category with 100-199 infections per 100,000 people.
That leaves Menstrie and Alva in the bottom category with just 0-2 infections in the past week.
The positivity rate across the Wee County is currently 6.7 per cent.
