SAUCHIE JUNIORS FC has teamed up with a top Wee County musician to hold an online fundraiser this week.
Danny Wilson will be holding a music-filled livestream session on Facebook this coming Friday (June 26), kicking off at around 6.30pm.
A post on Sauchie Juniors' Facebook page said: "Danny has extremely kindly agreed to dedicate his Friday night stream this week in aid of Sauchie Juniors Football Club.
"Danny will be doing his usual selection of fantastic songs.
"All we ask is that if you enjoy his performance you leave a small donation (if you can afford to) to the club."
Speaking about how the event came about, Matthew Hollingworth, who manages social media for the football club, told the Advertiser: "Basically, local singer Danny Wilson does livestreams on Facebook.
"He hasn't done one for about four weeks, and we approached him and asked if there's any chance he can hold one for us."
And Danny kindly agreed, and seems to be buzzing for the event.
He said: "I'm really looking forward to this steam; I haven't done one in four weeks and it's great to be able to support the local football team when they need some help."
Giving a flavour of what people can expect, Danny added: "I have a wide range of music genre I play; I play to my audience, so I need a broad repertoire to go to.
"I'm a classic rock [and] heavy metal fan so I wouldn't get away with playing my personal favourites."
Anyone who enjoys the livestream is asked to donate towards Sauchie Juniors via the Donate a Ticket page online.
Donate a Ticket is an initiative set up to help football teams through the coronavirus pandemic crisis by assisting them with fundraising.
A post on the Donate a Ticket website said: "Ticket sales make up the majority of Scottish football clubs' income, so we've designed a platform for supporters to donate the value of a match ticket directly to their club, which they might have paid anyway had the matches gone ahead."
