A MAN will begin a supervision order when he leaves prison next week after he attacked a guard with a weapon.
Ryan Simpson appeared for sentencing at Alloa Sheriff Court last Thursday after pleading guilty to the assault at a trial diet in February.
He is currently locked up after receiving a 140-day sentence for shoplifting just days after a previous release from prison.
The charge against the 22-year-old state that on April 7 of last year while in Glenochil Prison, he assaulted a guard by striking him with a metal pole to his injury.
Sheriff David Mackie sentenced Simpson, of Arthurstone Terrace, Dundee, to two years of supervision when he released on September 2.
