A POPULAR Alloa pub has reopened much to the delight of staff and locals alike after hundreds turned up to see its new face.
The Old Brewery flung open its doors once again on Friday night as it unveiled a fresh look after being given a much-needed makeover.
The grand reopening was only available to selected patrons who received an invite or were placed on the guestlist with over 260 people turning up and staying late into the night.
All guests were welcomed by a piper and a glass of Prosecco before an evening of fabulous entertainment.
For the first portion of the evening, singer Alix Muir sang a set before the Tulliallan Pipe and Drum band entertained the crowd, while showing a magnificent gesture by not charging for their services.
A DJ then took over as the night later drew to a close.
Manager of the bar, Amanda Gerlach, told the Advertiser that the new look went down well with the customers, adding that it was well overdue.
She said: “The whole night went really well, everyone enjoyed it and everyone who came stayed late which was excellent.
“The place hasn’t had any money spent on it since it opened 12 years ago, so it was needed.
"We now have many more tables and chairs, new furniture, a dedicated dancefloor and new drinks. We have over 26 gins now and a number of premium vodkas.”
Amanda wished to pay a huge thank you to all her staff for their hard work on the night as well as a massive thanks to the Tulliallan band for providing their services for nothing.
