FIREFIGHTERS have been tackling a blaze at the glassworks in Alloa in the afternoon.
Crews from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called out at 3.39pm today, Friday January 6, to deal with the incident at the O-I Manufacturing plant just off Glasshouse Loan.
A spokeswoman for the service now confirmed the fire has been brought under control and is extinguished.
It is understood the fire was raging in the roof space of one of the buildings.
Firefighters are now checking for any remaining hot spots.
Reader David McEwan, who lives in town, caught the incident on camera.
