FEMALE artists dominated the honours list at The Weekender Awards 2022.
This year a total of seven awards were up for grabs, including Album of the Year, EP of the Year, Song of the Year and Single of the Year.
The Breakthrough Artist of the Year Awar was back again for 2022, along with Music Video of the Year.
And, for the first time, The Weekender Awards recognised the work of performers with the Live Act of the Year category.
Iain Smith, editor of The Weekender, said: "This was our biggest ever awards and I was blown away by the standards set by the Scottish music scene - and not for the first time.
"The judges seem to agree that it was an incredible year for new music in Scotland. I did not envy their task of choosing the winners but I am grateful for their input.
"And the same goes to our sponsors - Party at the Palace, Vibration, Electric Shores, Forth Valley College and B12 Entertainment. They backed these awards because they all support the Scottish music scene and the artists who give us so much.
"Here's to an incredible 2023 ahead."
