YOU only have to take a brief look at the Song of the Year shortlist to see that the Scottish music scene has flourished in 2022.
There are a total of 20 entries this year, with a formidable mix of genre and tone throughout.
Iain Smith, editor of The Weekender, said: "This is probably one of the most stunning collections of songs I have heard. Feedback from the judges has been so positive - it is just such a delight to see such wonderful material released over the last 12 months."
Forth Valley College have once again sponsored this year's Song of the Year Award. The 2022 winner will join the likes of Dictator and... well, Dictator.
All winners will be revealed on Wednesday, December 21.
