IT MAY still be considered a smaller part of the live music scene, but Bute Fest really packs a punch.
Basking in the warm embrace of Ettrick Bay, the three-day event should be circled on the calendar for all serious festival fans each summer.
There is so much to like about a remote festival that bears a community focus and feel-good factor that others are unable to capture.
And that's all before discussing the music, which more than caught the eye when announced.
Indeed, the line-up for 2022 was as impressive as any others across the country – The Rain Experiment, Primes, Danko, Arcade State, Leaving Bordeaux, Forgetting the Future, Cody Feechan, The Laurettes, Dovv, Christie Oliver and The Deep Shining Sea, to name but a few.
And with the likes of Sapienn, White Novels, Fallen Arches, Red Hearted Vibrations, Riddemption also on the bill, it was clear that the organisers were on top of their game for 2022.
Those who missed out this time around have been fair warned. Get on the boat to Bute Fest 2023.
